Thank you to Co-op for looking after local area!

Just coming back from a bit of shopping at Co-op Horn Lane to find one of their delivery lorry parked right on the brand new lowered paved curb ( Disable access) No damage so far but it has not been finished a week and look how this is going already .Picture to follow once I found out how to attache it on here

Sorry, can't help!  I get somebody to do mine but, you are on the right track with flicker.May I suggest that you send the picture by e-mail to Ealing council (either parking or customer services, the latter always pass my complaints on to the correct dept.)

I don't think that ramp is for disabled access, it's for the Co-op delivery men to get the cages up on to the pavement from the back of the lorry.That said, from the photo they're clearly not using it as it was intended!

I'm wondering if the lorry had anywhere else to park as I have noticed that the nice parking bays that have been marked up are nearly always taken up by the minicabs from the shop across the road....

There is a loading bay for lorries, they are not supposed to park in the stop and shop bays anyway. Nor are the taxis.That is definitely a pedestrian crossing as it has those bumpy bits which I think are for the blind and there is or will be a matching set the other side.Hope they mark it better. Would not like to be a blind person trying to get across at the moment.

I emailed Daniel Crawford. here is his reply:-I actually noticed this lorry myself at the weekend - and went over to have a word with the driver reminding him that they shouldn't park in this fashion.I understand there are still some additional works to be carried out, but will need to check about the imposition of bollards.I'll take the suggestion of reserving some bays for taxis to the officers.

I thought the bumps were to stop the cages rolling into the road.It's a very narrow crossing if it is one.  Will it be a zebra?

Don't think so. It's marked on the plan as a pedestrian crossing.

That's good then as there should be one there - how else are the taxi drivers going to get to their cars parked in the shoppers bays?! ;-)

looks like an artic vehicle, dont know the length from picture but it could be about 40' long, the loading bay is not long enough as a guess even for a 17t vehiclemost loading bays are not marked out for this type of vehicle wonder if the council discussed this with theco-op before marking out the bay

Bob - had a good look this morning and yes I'm completely wrong.  I'd not even noticed the other side of the road had the bumps and lowered kerb. We need a Zebra crossing there so great if it is one.  I doubt it is as why would they put the kerb down before they put the hump in?  If they leave it like that it's an accident waiting to happen...

Doesn't look like a 'Zebra' but it needs some sort of markings or people will be mowed down when they are halfway across.

Exactly what I thought.  They can't put in an island either as it will block the access for the massive lorries going into the builders yard ... but that's another story.

That 'crossing' would be extremely hazardous unless there is some way to slow the traffic down!!!I certainly would NOT attempt to cross Horn Lane at that point.
