Jig - on BBC2 tonight 9pm

Apologies for short notice. Sue Bourne is a documentary-maker, best known in W3 for her Acton-based Cutting Edge film 'My Street' which was all about the residents of a road in Poets Corner.This documentary was released initially in cinemas and is definitely worth watching. It's all about the global phenomenon of Irish step-dancing. Some very funny, telling and emotional moments. Highly recommended.

Saw this as a feature film at Watermans in an empty cinema with about 8 teenagers who were obviously afficionado's.  Thought it was definitely deserving of the TV treatment rather than as a full length movie.  Enjoyable if predicatable and over long.  I like Sue's work and am delighted Jig made it onto mainstream TV.  Wonder what she is working on now.....

Sue Bourne - what a missed opportunity!! You really should have filmed last night as I suggested. To have this on your own doorstep and not take advantage!!
