Launderette

I have just moved to Acton, and have always had a washing machine before so never needed to use a launderette. The launderette closest to me costs £4 for a small wash, and the cheapest i've found, about 20 minutes away, is £3.50. To me this seems very expensive, is it? or is it about the standard cost?I'm trying, but failing, to find a launderette where the clothes don't smell terrible once they've been washed, i obviously use washing powder and conditioner but i think there may be something wrong with the pipes, perhaps they are very dirty as the two i've been to constantly smell when the wash is running, and the clothes smell so bad when it's finished!Any advice would be appreciated,Thanks

I've always found the one near Acton Town station excellent.  The big machine is £6.50 I think, the others are cheaper.The two big dryers that take £1 coins are best.  I usually put everything in, put in £3, go next door to the cafe for 45 minutes for a coffee and it's all done.I've now moved to a place with more drying space so don't use the launderette often, but I used to use the Churchfield Road one also, and they were always very good.  Again, nicely near a cafe!
