Squatters Evicted on 9th September 2011

For information at 9am today TfL evicted the squatters from the derelict houses on the Western Avenue at the junctions of Kathleen Avenue and Horn Lane sites. The Sheriff was present along with two enforcement officers. Once the squatters were removed residents were advised that TfL contractors would be on site throughout the day, clearing the rubbish left by the squatters and removing material that could be used to make the properties inhabitable again. TfL were then going to make the sites secure again. Residents are asked to report any new occupation of this land and any areas were rubbish left by the squatters has been missed to Esme Yuill on esmeyuill@tfl.gov.uk

and.....bearing in mind the problems in other parts of London....residents should be careful not to leave their own properties obviously vacant, else they could return and find them 'squatted'.

There are three males still in custody awaiting trial having been arrested by police while in the process of attempting to break into my house. They were not seen or heard by any of my neighbours.
