Those trees were never going to grow properly underneath all that granite! I think its perfectly obvious that like any living matter that has to suffer that god awful square, they've lost the will to live. It has to be the coldest, most lifeless design for a town square ever built. Made me so angry when I was setting up the market to know how much money was spent on it and how the architects arrogantly celebrated their design regardless of the fact that it's not fit for purpose.
