When did Acton become the buy to let capital of London.
Around my area between The Vale and east Acton it is becoming ridiculous,The community is dying and the fat cat Racman landlords are getting very rich on our council tax money as it seems they are renting to tenants the councils have;nt got houses for, so Racman gets a fat rent and his council tax paid for by us.We have one such landlord by us, who is renting his properties to the council and the o2 Domminion housing trust, he is renting 3 bedromm flats as 4 bedroom flats for £2400 a month and getting his council tax paid, he is not registered with companies house or affiliated to any lettings regulatory boards. So how is he getting away with it, His mortgages are with all different banks and building societys, he has 3 addreses as his office but there are no regulations to stop him, I tried a few years ago when they brough in HMO licenses but the council HMO department did nothing, this man lives in Acton in a £1000000 house with cameras and electric gates, is there something that can be done, as this man is evicting a mother and 5 children becuase her rent allownace has gone down to £1700 (new goverment directive) and his rent is £2400.
