Rosemont rd - yorkie dog chasing + barking at children

There is a small block of flats on the park side of Rosemont Rd that has a outside dog kennel under a window.The owners have a larger (spaniel) sized yorkshire terrier that climbs out of their ground flat  window and gets from the communal front garden onto pavement growling and chasing children.This has been happening for several years, but this time the dog was specifically targeting my child running 20 yeards towards her and snapping at her feet. I had to ask the ownwer to call off  the dog - as she showed no interest at all in what was happening. My child was crying and really scared.Has anyone else had trouble with this dog - Rosemont is close to 2 school runs and I have seen other children run off crying.

The law states that a dog must be under control when in a public area.  If you have problems with this dog and the owner, you should report it to the police.  It may just take a word in this woman's ear from the local constabulary.  Once on the police radar, further events are taken seriously.

We are taking it further. My daughter is scared to walk down the road we live on. I am just wondering how often it has happened as the owners don't take any responsibility - I had to ask her to call the dog off a crying child.
