Wood Burning Stove
I'm in the process of having a wood burning stove fitted. It's a small one (4kw) and won't be the main source of heat in the room - it's for occasional use on really cold days. The builder who is fitting it says we don't need the chimney lined and the chimney sweep who cleaned and tested the chimney says the same thing - the draw is very good. However the stove manufacturers (who also sell a fitting service!) are strongly recommending it as they say it improves efficiency.Anyone have any independent expertise in this area? The stove I am looking at is a Chesney Hampstead. Thanks for any advice. Anna
