Shaun Edwards for England

Sad to see that Shaun Edwards is to leave Wasps. In case you are wondering he was based in Twyford Avenue for this job which he did in addition to coaching the Welsh national team.With Martin Johnson's contract up soon and England's campaign widely acknowledged to have been a complete disaster he would make an interesting replacement although he has always tended to work well in harness with another ooach e.g. Warren Gatland or Iain McGeechan.Anybody hearing an inside news on what his plans are?

Shaun Edwards with his rugby league background has his limitations but he is a good defensive coach. England should try to hire so they can have a good chance of winning the Wooden  Spoon.

Two Heineken Cups and Four Premiership titles plus a grand slam for Wales and a World Cup campaign which could have been truly extraordinary but for a single refereeing decision but his more relaxed attitude to player discipline off the field may not go down well with the RFU plus the insulting approach made to him last time out when he was offered the job of coaching the Saxons means he will probably tell them to get stuffed.

Shaun Edwards may decide to stay with Wales in any event in view of Wales' success in the World Cup and its young and exciting team.England needs more than a coach - it needs a new manager and a whole new approach.
