BT broadband connection problems, Goldsmith area

Our connection was down for 2 days approx.  Now it is connected but extremely slow.  I have just had a call from India saying that the engineers are working on the problem in order to increase the speed.  They say they will call me back tomorrow in order to find out if the speed has increased.Can I urge all BT customers who are experiencing problems to call 0800 111 4567 each and every time they lose their connection and have slow speeds - as I suspect they do nothing about the problem unless you do so - also ask for a refund for the service you are paying for, but not receiving.   Hopefully this will focus BT's attention to sorting out the problem once and for all.

Had no problems on Grafton that I know of.A call from India!  How can they fix a problem from there?

They can't - its the call centre.  Had another call from them - in which I mentioned that the speed I am paying for is not happening.  They said now that there is a connection that is now being looked into.

Got problems now,  Server not found.  Lights flashing.  Not much point talking to some idiot in India.

I have the same problem, it's so annoying! The amount of times today that I have had to restart the computer - aaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh.

We had the same problem in Friary Road Wednesday/Thursday but it seems to be running ok now.

I don't like BT - or outsourcing call centres for that matter - but just because someone is working in India doesn't mean they are "some idiot" nor that they can't get anything done.

Few more probs than usual in Milton Road area last week but seems to be running ok at present

India 0800 496 8540 are phoning me daily to ask if my speed has improved.  So far the answer is no.  They say they will continue to call until it is, following which I will get a refund on the service I am paying for and not receiving.  I urge others with BT in the area to contact India and stick with your complaint.  I suspect the engineers cannot find out what is wrong, and unless we keep complaining they will give up.
