Lost Cat?

Hello.  Has anyone lost what we think is a Burmese cat, quite large, beautiful light brown and chocolate coloured with a predominantly blackish face?  We found such a cat in the grounds of St Dunstan's Church, Friars Place Lane, W3 yesterday.Please bear in mind it may not be Burmese.......I'm not too up on the differing types of cat, unfortunately.  It's a good breed, that's for sure.If so, can the owners get in touch with me through this site please?

Hi i would just like to say thank you to who ever found him his name was Bayley and he went missing on monday evening.unfortuneatley his injuries were to severe and he died but thank you to who ever found him and took him to the vet as we at least know what happened to him and where he is. he was 8 years old and the son of an ordinary black and white moggie who we still have. thank you again. heather hill

i'm so sorry Heather for your loss.  I'm glad that he's identified as I know not knowing what happened to a loved pet is awful.  My husband took Bayley to our nearest Vet where we were hoping he may be identified via a chip, so I'm glad that's happened. Hi Angela thank you for what you did for Bayley. we were just wondering where in the church grounds he was found as we live next to church and i walked around our carpark and did think i could hear miaowing but thought it was my imagination maybe it was bayley crying for help or was he already gone when you found him, i would just like to know so i can put it all to rest. Bayley has been cremated and his ashes scattered in the garden of rememberance.

Hi Heather.  I can understand wanting to know so you can lay his passing to rest.  We found Bayley around the back of St Dunstan's Church, in the grounds, on the Friars Place Lane side of the Church, towards the back, rather than the front of the church (I hope that makes sense).  By the back or rear I mean more towards the entrance from Vyner Road as you enter the garden there at the rear of the Church.  He was in the area used for recycling outside, which is gated.  If it's of any comfort to you, he looked like he was sleeping and it wasn't clear to us if he was or not at first, it's just that he didn't move for quite some time and then it became apparent.  I have to say I didn't see any injuries although the vet would have had a clearer look.  He looked so peaceful.  He had certainly passed away by the time we found him around 3.30 yesterday afternoon.  I hope this helps give you some peace.  I know how hard it is.  Let me know if you have any further question.Take care.
