Gas smell in Goldsmith Road

I know the gas board (are they still called that or is it Transco), have been digging up the road of late trying to fix a leak, however I can still smell gas strongly when I walk down Goldsmith Road (on the Evens side) around numbers 18 down to about 10.I'm happy to report it, although it's been going on for ages now and clearly the gas people are aware.I have visions of a discarded cigarette followed by a very loud banging!Carl

"it's been going on for ages now and clearly the gas people are aware."If you're concerned about it, I suggest you should call the National Gas Emergency Number on 0800 111 999.  I think the gas distribution company for Acton is National Grid (formerly Transco), but it's the same number for reporting gas smells anywhere in the country.
