suspicious young man

At the risk of jumping on the crime bandwagon, has anyone else seen the young man in red baseball hat loitering for hours at the entrance to path to railway bridge on Goldsmith Avenue. Haven't actually seen any thing, but fairly obvious what he's up to.

No you are right. I shouldn't have said anything without hard evidence but i have found him rather unsettling when crossing the bridge with my kids, and just thought other people might have seen something which could clarify. 3 days seems a long time to be waiting for a friend!

Joanna, my understanding is that this area is a known drug dealing location which the local police know about.  As is the area outside Acton Central Station (and the cemetery up the other end of Churchfield Road).Those involved stand around drinking/eating and dumping all their rubbish in the flower beds.When its cold you see less of them.Who buys the stuff I wonder - local Acton residents perhaps?

it needs to be stopped, drugs ruin lives and it is being left to fester in our neighbourhood.why do the authorities turn a blind eye when it is blatantly happening.why bother being a model citizen anymore!

... as it happens I do know about this young man. Before Christmas he threatened a bunch of Twyford kids which included my daughter (although she wasn't threatened directly) and another young girl in the road. He always seems to be there around 4pm when the schools are out.I've 'had a word' and so has at least one of the boys, the police have been informed and have his description.... which I mentioned to him.Haven't seen him around for a few weeks but he was back bold as brass earlier this week.

Perryn Road has yet again some very suspicious characters coming out from the railway bridge around 4/4.30/5pm ish.It doesn't help that there are few street lights along there and also residents don't cut their trees/hedges so there is no room to walk and people can skulk around!Where are the local police they never seem to be around anymor? I used to see them riding along on their bikes!!maybe it too cold!

Lesley, have you reported this to the local Community Police.  You can do it on-line.  It could be that they know about it, but any intelligence from local residents, I know, is useful to them.I have suggested that possibly this is the place to site one of the 'mobile' CCTV cameras.

if they are anything like local councillors I doubt they will read it!If I see anything else I will do though!
