What was happening near Morrisons today?

Heading to the High Street for the Christmas fair just after lunch, Horn Lane was blocked off by a police car and there were two fire engines (we'd just walked past the fire station and thought it was odd that all of the fire engines were out at the same time), plus a big fire service truck, and two ambulances (one of which was a big scary thing with no windows), and an ambulance service car parked by the blocks of flats, does anyone have any idea what was happening?  I really hope anyone involved was ok, came back here and double checked our 5th floor smoke alarms & escape routes just in case!

From a distance, I could see smoke, but no flames, coming from the top of Moreton Tower (One of the twin hi-rise blocks near Horn Lane), I could see 3 or 4 firemen on the staircase on the top 3 floors.From my viewpoint, the smoke was coming from behind the building (North west side) so I couldn't work out if it was one of the top floor flats on fire, or even a service room on the roof.
