Pensioners Alone at Christmas Party

I have just read about us having the Pensioners Alone at Christmas party in Acton so I would like to say;A very special Thank you to John the Manager who let us use the Function room on Christmas for the Party.As stated the party which has been held in the Chiswick Day Centre for the past 26 years could not happen there any more as the 33 Labour Councillors in Hounslow voted to close the Centre, which has now happened.However The Goldsmiths Arms was a wonderful blessing to us all. The Christmas Dinner and pudding was well cooked and tasted wonderful. The Staff worked very hard and made the day very special, the feed back I have recived from all the Senior Citizens and the Volunteers was IT WAS A WONDERFUL DAY AND THEY LOOK FORWARD TO COMING BACK.So from my daughter Leanne and all the Committee a BIG BIG THANK YOU.We wish you all a great 2012.

How lovely to hear such a positive report about a local business, Pauline.I'm so glad you and your guests had a good day in spite of teh Hounslow Council shenanigans and hope you can continue to hold your event at the pub.Was it open to other business as well or just you?

The Pub was open to anyone who visited, but I had booked the Function Room as I need the ability to have up to 80 people at the Party. There was lots of space and the seats were all comfortable. I have been back again and the food is really GREAT. The staff and people in the pub are very friendly. Go and see how great it is. I know I will be back again soon.
