Bogus water board caller
Have you got a blue arrow painted outside your house!Be alert especially for your elderly neighbours as this caller is quite convincing, shows a photocopy badge from Thames water saying you have a leak and has come to dig up half the garden to repair it,he has a long listening pipe he uses to convince you he has found a leak ! what at 1.00pm with all the traffic around, I don't think so, maybe during the night that's the only time you will be able to detect water flow.Anyway went to get my camera to take photo of him and car was not very happy..dam it battery not charged...soon made a speedy exit though.He drives a small white van registration AF11 CGU with the name DAVY on the side working on behalf of Thames water. If your neighbour has a blue arrow outside there house scrub it out as they seem to be looking out for potential customers. Thames Water notified me and has confirmed that this is not one of their engineers.
