Recycling bags!

I know this sounds a bit petty but someone has made off with our bright blue paper recycling bag! It is made of sturdy shiny plastic with 55 written all over it and has the recycling logo on it and the word paper! It is about the same size as a large ordinary plastic bag. If anyone catches sight of it please let me know!

I guess this is a LB Hounslow recycling bag?A LB Ealing white plastics bag returned to me last week after about 9 months away.  I only had the house number on it and had long since replaced it - or rather the kids did - they had an interesting time dealing with the Council! I'd love to know its story!I notice that some of the Councils with the best info now suggest that you put house number and road on the containers.

No it was my own recycling bag brought over from Ireland! I thought that it would be great for paper as I wouldn't have to keep using plastic bags. Being bright blue, I thought it would be safe! How wrong I was! Why can't people leave things alone that don't belong to them!

What s shame.  If it was recycling day then it may be it was the crew who took it thinking you didn't want it.  You've been thinking outside the box and that can be dangerous. :)Since we are requested to separate paper from cardboard in our green box (or we were when I last looked but they keep changing the info on the website) I have either used a paper carrier or taken the paper to the paper bank.  (It is collected during the week in a shoulder bag.) It stops it blowing around the street.In fact I think it is easier to keep the cardboard separate from the paper by flattening all the smaller boxes and putting them inside a cereal packet - and we don't always put it out every week but when it is full.

yeah we put cardboard in a little box too. The crews knew all about our bag as well.
