Grape Vine

I noticed this morning that my Grape Vine has started to sprout already. Surely too early me thinks.

The grape starts its annual growth cycle in the spring with bud break. In the Northern Hemisphere, this stage begins around March while in the Southern Hemisphere it begins around September when daily temperatures begin to surpass 10 °C (50 °F).

This is one of the warmest winters I can remember.There have been no prolonged very cold spells(fingers crossed).That's probably why.

I was a Kew Gardens yesterday to see the snowdrops.  Amazing how much was blooming and how many trees had buds on them ... in January!
