Someone went through our bins / ID Theft?

Someone went through the binbags we put out on Tuesday for collection.  Definitely not a fox as they were taken out of sight from the main road and the contents strewn all over.  I wonder if this could be a case of ID Theft?Maybe a coincidence but when I left for work at 7am and there was a couple (I'd say mid 20s) standing in the driveway which I thought was a little odd at the time but I didn't say anything, the binbags had been gone through when my wife went out at 9am.Anyone else had this happen?  Any suggestions as to what I should look out for if someone might be trying to use my name/address for ID theft?

Twice recently I have seen a woman and a man (one on each side of the road) going through bins. I challenged the woman who said in very poor english 'looking for rubbish' I believe the are middle european and basically looking for anything they can sell.

The two that say they are 'looking for rubbish', both in their 40's, possibly Romanian, both chubby, I see them all the time walking up and down York road, walking in to people's garden's and looking at discarded bit's of furniture, they both appear very dodgy. I've seen them on various road's around Acton, always looking into people's garden's, seen them for about 2 months now

I think the couple I saw weren't the same, definitely not in their 40's.  This was on Langley Drive, between Avenue Road and Mill Hill Road.Hope as you say they were just looking for something to sell not after personal details.

Always shred anything with your personal details on - its safer in the long run
