'The PlanEaling Council has worked with local people on pulling together the plans since late 2009. Over 30 people were recruited to join the Acton Town Hall Team and a number of public events and exhibitions have also taken place.'Perhaps the '30 recruited people' could let us know if the vision displayed is what they all agreed would be acceptable to the majority of Acton residents?

At least something is happening at long last.... Shame the Magistrates Court could not be included in the mix, was it not advertised for sale a few months ago?

I must admit now I've seen a photo I don't mind the idea of keeping the front old and renewing the back but the design isn't great.  Is that green coloured roof really necessary? It'll look old and dirty within a month.  Will they clean it regularly or just let it turn a sort of brown colour?!  Maybe that's the plan, maybe it'll look better when it's filthy...I agree the magistrates would make lovely flats.

Possibly a 'Green' roof, ie. planted with sedum and other moss like plants. They reduce runoff and provide habitat for bugs, butterflies etc. They colour greenish spring/summer and go brown during the winter. If so it's a 'good thing'

Would a Roof garden and a roof top Resturant do well on the town hall regeneration? Something similiar to Kensington roof gardens ?
