After dark door to door sellers

In the past week or so an inordinate number of teacloth etc. sellers have been appearing at our door, knocking loudly. They have been coming after dark and as late as 10 o'clock. We will not open our door, but they can be loud and persistent leading to open hostility. We have had more than one coming in a single night. It can make us feel threatened. Have any others had similar experiences?

Yes we have had this happen to us recently, more than once!One night about 11pm ssomeone kept ringing our door bell and knocking loudly. We have a camera installed so obviously did not open the front door. Eventually this man went away.Last evening someone again rang the door bell 8pm, carrying a bag of some sort. Again we did not answer the door.I have a notice saying no tradesmen, perhaps they can't read?

We too have had evening salesmen in the last week after dark. Bet they don't get too many buyers
