What's going on up the High Street?

Lots of police, buses reversing - can it just be the snow?

From Twitter :-High Street / A4020 (Acton): Eastbound and westbound direction. An accident has closed the road in both directions. Expect delays.

I understand that an elderly man was hit by an E3 bus eastbound near the police station. At 3pm I saw it parked in the lay-by next to Morrison's car park. Its windscreen was caved in right at the bottom, nearside - a horrifying sight. The air ambulance had landed in Woodlands Park by Crown Street, and had since departed. I'd be surprised if the poor man has survived the impact.

There were lots of flashing blue lights in the High Street very much later - maybe 2145 as well. Presumably that was something different

Yes the later incident is the one I was referring to. Oh dear, sounds like 2 nasty accidents in one day.
