residents parking, load of old ****
The Council made our street a CPZ earlier this year because there were not enough parking spaces after the Council made neighbouring streets CPZ. "Rescued" by the council through the implementation of CPZ in our street, we now have the same number of parked cars (approx 10-15) as when there were no CPZ's in neighbouring streets. However the area around Western Gardens (No cpz) is now completely full. We suddenly have loads of traffic wardens going up and down our road on their little mopeds! Maybe CPZ is not about the money, but about creating jobs! And talking about jobs..... Why can't teachers and essential community staff qualify for residents parking permits? The streets are empty and since the CPZ implementation, St Vincent's (already limited) playground has turned into a car park!!!
