Urban foxes?

Hi all,I work for a television production company called Windfall Films and we are making a new documentary about urban foxes. We are currently looking for dens of foxes or fox families which we might be able to study and film, and I was wondering if anyone regularly sees foxes or has a fox den near them?If you know of any foxes in your area or have any fox related stories, it would be great to hear from you! Frequently sighted in Milton Road and Birkbeck Road

In Avenue Gardens we have a fox that regularly sleeps on our garden bench; eats through our lighting cables; digs holes in our lawn and flower beds; bites through our watering pipes; knocks over our garden lights and generally causes mayhem in our garden.We would be delighted if you filmed it and interviewed it and persuaded it to appreciate the garden and not to damage it!It sees us so regularly that it does not move until we are only just a few feet away. It is very unafraid.

We have one, or more, that we hear regularly barking and making a racket (The Vale/Mansell Road). I suspect there is a den in Southfield park).It sits on the roof of the house opposite, and comes into our garden at night and buries food (eg a tin of dog food in my window box). Last week I woke up to a  noise, to find out in the morning that it had knocked over both my window boxes, presumably looking for food. It is a pain!

I'm also in Avenue Gardens and the fox(es) are pretty noisy and often visible, though only as passing visitors - and frequent secreters of eggs in borders and plantpots...

Foxes around the Cumberland Road/Highlands Avenue area. They had a nest under one of the old portable hut classrooms at Derwentwater School along time ago. Wonder if they have a den in the grounds of the Spiritualist Church in Woodhurst Road. We hear them regularly barking.

I get plenty in my garden, also the other night I saw a young male fox, near the Rocket, he heard the human voices and crossed the road to my side of the street but didn't see or smell me as I was upwind. So there I am walking behind him about 2 feet away and I see a young fella coming up the road, probably thought it was a dog at 1st, but as he got closer he saw it was a fox and looked quite perplexed, then the fox decided to get out his way and only saw me when he turned and ran under a stationary car, good fun while it lasted. I must get out more I think.

My neighbour 2 doors down in Saint Dunstans Avenue told me there is one right behind his garden on the embankment of the railway line. You would need permission from London overground, which probably is going to be really difficult.

No mention of whether this documentary is pro or anti fox.  We have two regular fox visitors. Occasionally see them snoozing in the sun as well.  I believe the den is in next doors garden.A couple of years ago, we had a family of five running around our garden. Mum, dad, and 3 cute little cubs.Foxes occasionally leave little plastic toys, shoes or whatever they find. Apart from these 'gifts', our foxes are welcome visitors.  How does a film crew avoid scaring foxes off.  They are very alert and cautious.

One was jumping and running around in Springfield Gardens at 14.00 hrs. Quite happy and at ease, not scared at all. There are quite a number of them around Pierrepoint road/Creswick Road and there was nest of them in the back garden of No 4 Creswick rd a couple of years ago.

we have them contantly on Sir Alexander Road we seem to have 2 familys and then we get the cubs, aaah. I know they get a lot of bad press but they are beautiful

FionaHave sent 2 pics by e-mail.  They are the only ones I can find.  The vixen in question was very tame and, used to come into my bedroom and pinch the dog biscuits.  I could get to about 2 foot of her.  Sadly she is now dead but, her offspring are around the Grafton Rd area.
