I was a bit surprised at first as well, and found it very difficult to think of sthg I didnt want to part with. There are examples provided, otherwise, here are some more people might be willing to give away or lend: - plastic plant pots (there's bound to be someone who lives within a few hundred metres of you who has seedlings to plant up), - snow shovel (to lend in case you need it back!), - weeding (you can offer a skill or service rather than an item), - mobile phone charger you no longer need, - book (to lend or give away), - magazines you've collected,- clothes rail, - pet carrier you rarely use, - freeview box you no longer need,- cake tin for a celebration cake you rarely use...Once you've had a look around the site you can always edit or delete items later. The ethos appears to be to save duplication, save money, an excuse to meet your neighbours, save landfill, promote community, etc, etc. It's all explained on the front pages.
