Colin, I've never known you to be anything but rude. I'm more than happy to be proven wrong.Currently, as the parents of a 4 year old, we're facing the likelihood that our daughter won't get into the primary school of our preference, or ANY of the 6 on our list we had to submit to the local council. That's reality and it happened to many parents I personally know of last year. Why? Because we have an influx of immigrants and, stupidly, our government weren't prepared for the demands that would put on housing, NHS and healthcare as well as our schooling. And no, that isn't a racist remark, before any of that brigade start.Do I feel resentful? Yes I certainly do. I'm livid infact. People have children for many reasons, and hopefully the right ones, but not always. To base our decision to have children on whether or not the country of our origin, where we've lived and paid taxes all our lives, is capable of finding our children a school or not, is, surely, not right nor fair. What, so that those who are allowed into our country as immigrants can have as many children as they wish whilst those who want more than one children and are nationals have to curtail their desires for more children? I think not.
