Filming..

They are filming New Tricks on Derwentwater Road today. Don't know what that is but there's a huge crew!

Mark,Are you serious that you don't know what New Tricks is? Where have you been for the last 9 years? It's a BBC series.To quote IMDb - "Three retired police officers are drafted in to solve cold cases, with a touch of comedy and drama." It stars - Dennis Waterman, James Bolam, Alun Armstrong and Amanda Redman.They usually film around Acton and have in the past used St Vincent's School. Estoril and L'Oriental.

You don't know what you're missing - it's hilarious... in a Midsomer Murders kind of rubbish way.Dennis Waterman "writes the theme tune, sings the theme tune" which also makes me snigger.In America the quote on the back of the New Tricks box set is "cutting edge Brit TV"... need I say more?!  :-)

I imagine they use Acton locations a lot because the production offices are in Acton (well, possibly Park Royal.) They're based in the aluminium sheds at the Park Royal end of Kendal Avenue, just beyond where KA curves round towards the leisure park

And the Apprentice - isnt the caff the losers go to in park Royal?Rosemary and Thyme filmed in Acton Parkand Harry Enfield in what is now Heart and Soul

Rosemary and Thyme did get to go to Kew Gardens once, or Rosemary did. Went in to the Palm House and was then seen climbing the stairs in the Temperate House.

The Bridge Cafe on Alliance Road, just around the corner from here. Sometimes known as The Executive Dining Room.And the boardroom scenes are filmed on a set in Black Island Studios slightly further up towards Western avenue
