Water carry on!
With another increase in the bill from Thames Water and even more in the pipeline it would seem we will all be paying more for a reduced service.Thames Water are particularly slow to repair leeks yet we will all have to cut down drastically to avoid a fine when their new regulations are implemented in April.The whole business of charging customers for the water supply is unfair, how can a household of, say, 2 people, pay the same as a family of 6 or more? I think their charges were worked out taking the rates of the homes into consideration, but most homes in a street are not all the same size!The water companies, just like other utilities, are thinking more about their shareholders and their profits to ever consider being fair to their customers, who in the meantime can do nothing about the ever increasing prices.We certainly do not waste water so why should we pay extra for those who do?When you consider that this country is surrounded by water yet some areas have ample supply whilst others have very low levels. One would think that with the profits these companies make they would have sorted out a way of making sure there was a way to ensure that there was enough to go around.
