How frightening I think there should be designated school busses - other countries have them, then the children can possibly be monitored.I have noticed that drivers seem to ignore the situation when mayhem happens on their bus, unless as was suggested they just send a quiet message to control, but by the time help arrives it could be too late!A couple of years ago my friend was on a bus in East London and noticed that 2 Eastern European guys were standing so close to her. One had a jacket over his shoulder. The bus jerked and then at this moment she realised that one man had his hand in her handbag! My friend told him off in a very loud manner, hoping to make sure the bus driver or someone would come to her aid. Not a bit of it, people just sat and ignored the scene, so did the driver.At the next stop my friend (who is a only 5' tall and a pensioner by the way) got off the bus. She then thought to herself...big mistake, as the 2 Eastern European men also got off the bus behind her!My friend then decided to take the bull by the horns and ranted and raved at the men telling them they have a cheek to rob an old lady when they come to this country and receive a welcome and all the help they can get! They threatened her but at that moment she realised there was a break in the traffic so she ruched across the street and into a shop, then she managed to ring her husband.The 2 men disappeared but I wouldn't be surprised they have been doing this sort of thing on London Transport!
