Rias Insurance Promotion Scam.
It seems like everyone is at it. A month ago I was offered car insurance and breakdown cover with Rias over 50's insurance. It cost me £350. They must target the over 50's as they probably think we are over the hill and stupid. The promotion was that as a gift, me and my wife could stay in one of dozens of hotels throughout the country for 3 nights for free. The brochure listing the hotels arrived today and surprise, surprise. The hotel is free but breakfast and dinner is between £90+£100 per day. There is no meals opt out. You pay or you don't stay. I just phoned one hotel in the brochure, The Durrant House Hotel in Bideford North Devon who are listed as giving 3 free nights but, £270 is required for breakfast and dinner for 3 nights. The person I spoke to said she wasn't aware of any promotion and she told me that we could stay at the hotel for 3 nights bed and breakfast for £210.00. At that price it would still work out cheaper than Rias' offer. You know what the police and Trading Standaers warn people. If it seems too good to be true, it isn't true.
