Jedward are the best argument for conjoined twins you will ever see.They should have an operation to join them together.Preferably at the mouth so they can't speak ever again.

Well, he can still sing - but what a dull song.  It doesn't rhyme where it should, and there's no oomph to it at all.  He should do 'Les Bicyclettes de Belsize' instead.  It's similar but has a proper tune!I love Eurovision and am happy to 'embrace the cheese', but this isn't good Eurovision cheese, it's the aural equivalent of Happy Shopper Cheddar.It is obviously the SAGA Eurovision this year though - the Russian grannies are making headlines.

Does Britain really give a damn about Eurovision? It is a sad waste of broadcasting, fixed and basically, all the acts are rubbish.

The BBC chose Humplebert Emperdinck's song as the entry and if we win this year, it means that the BBC would have to spend a lot of money hosting it next year.Do we think they've stuck in a sure fire loser to avoid them having host next year?  We know they're a bit skint at the moment so maybe this is a tactical move?!;-)

The grannies sound great - I hope they win - and rebuild their church.The English song is just dreadful - a whole list of disconnected cliches. Definitely a left-hander

A group of grannies from a remote village in the Ural mountains will represent Russia at the next Eurovision contest in May.The oldest of them is 76, which makes her the most senior Eurovision contestant ever.The Buranovo Grannies hail from the Udmurt minority and normally sing in their language, which is close to Finnish and Hungarian.But for the Eurovision they will have to master their English.

Didn't we do well.  Our entry was such a flop.  Twelve Points.  Second from bottom.  At least the Grannies came second, let's hope they can rebuild their church.

Time for us to call it a day. No one in Europe likes us or votes for us. We pay the lions share to stage it. Best to let them carry on without us.

Oo la la - douze pwah & and the eastern blockheads voted for themselves yet again. Our French neighbours won't give us any points because we snatched the olympics and the Irish don't like to because they're still still sore about the Black & Tans & bloody sunday. If Amy Winehouse was still alive and did Eurovision for us, we'd still end up bottom of the pile.

Davud,I think the French dislike for the UK goes back a bit further than you suggest!The winning entry has been no.1 in Sweden and other countries over the last month apparently.I though this contest was for unreleased songs.

BBC bosses have been told by fans of the Eurovision Song Contest that it's time to quit the show over its so-called political voting.The UK faced another humiliation in the Azerbaijan capital of Baku over the weekend, as entrant Engelbert Humperdinck limped home in second to last place.Viewers then flooded the BBC website with complaints over the voting, which saw the UK only receive a total of 12 points from Ireland, Latvia, Belgium and Estonia for Humperdinck's song 'Love Will Set You Free'.One complaint read: “It doesn't matter who we have represent us things will always be the same and that's political PULL OUT AND DON'T BOTHER WASTING ANYMORE TIME OR MONEY!”Celebrities even waded in, with 'This Morning' host Philip Schofield tweeting: “It's time to pull out.'Not even Robbie [Williams] could win it for us, it's too political.”

For those who hadn't noticed, Eurovision has long ceased to be about the music or the politics. It's simply morphed into one of the major global gay extravaganzas in the calendar. It's the campest acts that get the votes. Long may it last.

True a couple of years ago - but this year most of the camp and cheese was filtered out in the semis.  What was left (with a few exceptions) was rather dull.We had no chance anyway - we were on first, which is the kiss of death, and the song is rather a 'grower' whereas with Eurovision you need instant impact.And it's all very well to moan about political voting - but usually Ireland and Malta give us some points and we do the same to them!However - we came 5th a couple of years ago with Andrew Lloyd-Webber's song, and last year we were at least on the 'good' side of the scoreboard.I think next year we need to send someone who is current, and popular in Europe.  If Gary Barlow hadn't been on his Jubilee jaunt, he could have written us a good song.
