i have done some checking and complaining.the guy selling the fake watches, has re-located to the outside of a shop about three shops down churchfield road. fake rolex for a tenner ? i wish, my daughter paid 30 ! and yes she realised it was a 'copy', but we did expect it to last longer than 12 hours. When i went back to the stall holder to complain, he became quite agressive, and said he didnt do refunds or exchanges ! Talking to stall holders in the 'proper market' it seems he has been kicked out from there, recently. Hence his re-location. that says it all, really ! as regards the food poisioning, i would like to say, that i have no proof that it was only the cheese that made jemma and her friends ill. They eat at several of the stalls, sampling jamacian and indian food, amongst others. any of this could have made them ill. A do agree that this market is perhaps not the best place to sell 'freshly cooked' food, meat that is left out all day, and not kept propely refrigrated can cause illness, and no clear hand washing facilities, are all a cause for concern, as well as general filth and pigeon droppings in the mount. i have sent an email to ealing council asking them to clarify that the market food stalls comply with all hygiene standards. i am still awaiting their reply.
