I guess we can all look forward to receiving fewer greeting cards through the letterbox because many people will just refuse to spend the increased costs for stamps. Each time the price is increased is another nail in the coffin of the Post Office, bad for Card Shops, Charity Shops selling cards, terrible for those who have no Internet and rely on a card or a letter from friends. This may be older folk who look forward to a card or a letter.Ordering stuff online will cost more when postage and packing are taken into consideration.I am sure fewer Christmas Cards will be sent as people start thinking about the cost of buying the cards and then the postage. I have already decided to cut down on the amount of cards I send out, particularly overseas cards. Last year I was charged £1.20 for the tiniest card you can imagine when I sent it to Canada. In future I shall be sending more greetings via the Internat which hs fast, reliable and FREE.
