Grant for smartening up Acton that gets posted about every year?

Hi AllI may have remembered this incorrectly.I seem to recall that every year on here there there is a post calling for ideas on how to spend a pot of about 40k that is allocated to smarten up Acton.If i have remembered this correctly - can anyone tell me when this happens and how i would find out more?taJamie

Maybe you are referring to the ward forum budget Which was £30,000 last year but might have changed. Details of ward forum on Ealing council website - I couldn't attend the last one so don't know when the next it. All ideas have to be approved there.

We had our local green in Friary Road smartened up with some of the money, benches and plants put in and a low wooden fence.  It looks a treat now and is much more pleasant.  Even saw a few people stopping to eat their lunch there the other day, bicycles besides them.  It used to be a dumping ground.  Much better now, especially as the new-ish parking restrictions mean cars can't park on that side of the road - it really opens the place up.

tony the owner of the churchfield cafe told me on friday that he and some other shop owners have formed a committee to help the council with the way the money is spent in each ward.speak to tony and he will bring you up to speed.
