The Park Club and QPR

I just noticed the piece on the Chiswick page about the joint venture between the Park Club and QPR, who will be running their Youth Academy at the Club.  Nothing on the Acton site, although the editor must know that the Park Club is in Acton and not Chiswick!  Anyway, I wonder whether non Park Club members will be allowed to attend youth events?

It's like magic!  I hope the Park Club paid for the advert  ;-)Interesting paragraph."The Youth Academy will be training on the two pitches at the Club, which QPR will be substantially improving and maintaining. Various existing club buildings will be used for administration and physiotherapy, with team changing rooms, ready-made classrooms, restaurants, gymnasium provided when the Club is largely unoccupied."Is the club "largely unoccupied" often? I hope this doesn't sound the demise of the club and the start of the QPR training ground....

perhaps you need to ask now much they are paying for this usage?  Will members get a refund when they cannot use all the facilities for which they are paying?

So can non park club members go and attend QPR events . its about time local facilities were used for the mass populus not just that can afford them!

I think their training will take place there,  not QPR events.Why should non paying members be allowed to use the facilities?  I do not really follow what you are saying? If someone cannot afford the cinema should Acton Vue let them in.If someone cannot afford Finess First should the club let them in?  I do not think so,  so if someone does not want to pay/afford The Park Club why should they be allowed to use the facilities?

To watch training sessions and so forth, seeing it is a community club!QPR that is.There aren't enough community facilities in Acton open to the general public without paying a princely sum to attend.This is what I am saying!

Seriously how many people are really going to want to watch 15-17 year olds train?Is QPR a community club,  I expect a sum has to be paid to attend matches?Even before the existence of The Park Club the facilities there were run by Acton Tennis Club and Acton Cricket Club and I guess membership had to be paid for them too.I do of course understand your point that there is no local authority run sports centre.

I don't know as I haven't got time to guage numbers however I am sure that lots of local children would love to go there!
