Bollo Lane is being dug up again...
So for the umpteenth time, the top of Bollo Lane is being dug up (yes, right now, 10.33pm), I can only presume to - once again - try and find the source of the gas smell that is often so strong outside Acton Town tube.I can't recall exactly how many times this has happened now (more than 10, I don't know, the pneumatic drill noise is affecting my memory probably), but it's often late at night, which I suppose is so as not to get in the way of traffic (though how this explains that one time at midnight on a Sunday I do not know...). The works are all tidied away by the next morning, just the odd cone here and sometimes small holes here and there, but there's never any explanatory signage or company info to contact, and then within a few days, the gassy whiff is back anyway!Does anyone have any ideas/thoughts/comments/facts about why this is happening? I'm about to wade through the council website to see if I can find someone to email, but thought I would just throw this out and see if anyone had any insider information first.
