REMPLOY CLOSURE - THE DISGRACE

So the Tories are closing remploy, throwing 30 disabled people out into oblivion. what chance will they have of ever getting any meaningful full time employment? The reasons they give are that it is costing the country too much, about £68m nationally I believe.What is the social  to be for the disabled people being dumped onto the scrapheap? I suppose for the Tories it dosen't matter, after all these people are different, they arn't really human, they can't cope in 'normal' society. Why should the rest of the country subsidise them? This policy is a National Disgrace and should be reversed now! What's Angie Bray had to say about this? No known attempt to improve the economic side of Remploy - no suggestion that employees could be anything other than 'an expense'.  Like many others with no choices, they are scrapped and everyone else is told that we should not have to 'subsidise them'  So much for social justice and a fair society.This is why the Tories are known as the 'nasty party'

It is an utter disgrace - not just remploy but also the terrible way that the Disability reforms are being managed. Thousands of people, many suffering from chronic diseases, bowel disease, cancer patients etc being refused benefits and told to go to the Job Centre. These people have surpassed themselves - even Mrs Thatcher did not dream of cutting disabled people's benefits. What really shocks me is that the Liberal Democrats - who represent people who have spent their whole lives caring about the poor in their neighbourhoods - have gone along with this.
