Hi,Does anyone know if the card and party decoration shop on Acton High Street has closed permanently?Work appears to be going on inside and their shutters down. Next door to Caesars.

I hope not! I was in recently getting orange hairspray for a tintin costume, we always have a chat about whatever barmy costume i'm putting together for the kids and they didn't mention anything. Lovely people and really useful shop I hope it's just temporary.

A couple of days ago the shop next door, Paddy's newsagents aka Acton Sewing & Knitting Centre, was getting a new front done, but I don't know about the party shop. If it was being done I didn't notice.

I may be that they are having their window replaced; the last time I was there I commented on it being boarded up - apparently some low life smashed it and it was due for repair.

Both the party shop and the newsagents have had new windows/frontages. The party shop used to have two doorways, set back from and at an angle to the pavement. Now it has one door straight in off the street.

Hi! To all concerned! We Are very sorry for the inconvenience that we may have caused, we were closed due to refurbishment to the businesses. We are now open for business but there are still works in progress. I wanted to pay a visit yesterday and walked right past at first - shop fronts transformed and looking excellent. Council monies for once being spent on a very good cause (better than giant planters...)
