Who is toppling gateposts?

I have seen several well built brick gate posts (not driveway posts) knocked over into front gardens in Perryn Road over the last two years.  Now there is one knocked into the front garden in Birkbeck Road.  It is a mystery!  Any ideas?

I too have seen many toppled, including one that had landed on a car in Langley Drive. Several brick columns and railings were knocked down by Beaumaris Tower in South Acton, then after they were repaired, knocked down again. I've seen them lying elsewhere, too. You'd think the perpetrators might have been caught on CCTV by now if they do it this much.

I've always assumed it's lorries backing into them but maybe it's the urban equivalent of cow tipping?!
