Sally,Thank Boris Johnson. He provided £500K from his Outer London Fund for the Acton project. The council did a good job of bidding for the money and consulting with local people and councillors but the Mayor provided the cash. Outside school's building (for which 2/3rds of money provided by the government) very little Ealing capital is being spent in Acton, not even on roads. Ealing Labour is spending its new capital on the Southall car park. The old Tory administration put aside the money for the Town Hall.
