Virgin Media... needs to lay a new cable accross the street?
Hi, anyone out there with some tech knowlodge to tell me whether this makes sense?I've ordered Virgin Media Broadband and after 2 weeks of waiting for their technical people to come by and install the internet - and then being stood up without notification - I've now been told that they need to do some construction work to lay a cable from somewhere on the street to the house (which apparently might take another 2-3 weeks before they can get this done, because of traffic). Does this sound right? Every other person in the house already got Virgin Media Broadband. How is it possible that it is only our room that needs a separate, new cable from somewhere accross the road? Does this make sense?thanks :)
