Housing sign at Bromyard avenue/the Vale junction

Part of my commute home is turning right from Bromyard Av on to the Vale. This can be difficult in the early evening because of the traffic especially pulling out on to the vale. Over the last couple of days a sign advertising the housing development on Bromyard has been chained to a lamppost on the vale but the sign is in direct line of my sight of the east flowing traffic making it hard to see what is coming (especially if its in the bus lane). Any one else noticed this? Im thinking of asking for it to be moved but wonder if Im being over cautious/sensitive.

I would say get it removed if it's causing an obstruction. There's far too much clutter on our streets with pointless signs.  The one which makes me laugh (or cry) is on the road over the Chiswick Bridge which is a large sign reading "barrier errected to protect grass verge".  Does anyone care why years ago they decided to put in a tiny foot high fence along 20 meters of the road?

This isn't a danger to anyone, but the thing which annoys me is the ugly plastic banner announcing the (usually overcrowded) playground in Acton Park as a 'Playground and Recreation area' or whatever it says. There is already a banner on the play hut itself, but this looks messy and I for one would like it removed. Anyone else?

LOL only after reading Clare's post several times did I realise she wasn't disagreeing with the OP but talking about the plastic banner advertising the playground!  I must take more time to read things properly!

I think you will find its an advertising sign for the Virgin Active gym, but yes, I agree its an obstruction and should be moved.

It's not. It's definitely an Ealing Council banner for the Play Centre in Acton Park and there is already one on the roof of the play centre so to have another one which - in my opinion - is an eyesore seems unnecessary.

Delia is right - its a sign for Virgin Active. I shall look again next week to see if I still think its obstructing the view of drivers turning out of Bromyard Avenue.
