Tree surgeons

Can anyone recommend a tree surgeon.

I used Treecare ( 020 8993 1443 ) several weeks ago to fell a very high eucalyptus branch covered in ivy which was leaning out at a dangerous angle.They were the cheapest of three quotes, arrived on time, worked fast, cleared up afterwards and knew their stuff.I have no association with Treecare.

Treeworks –Tom Boswell 020 7183 5611 has been really helpfull in supplying several truckloads loads of free woodchips for our local school garden project. Tom seems a really nice guy and his help has been invaluable. It would be nice if he would get some business out of Acton.

Tom has just done an excellent job for me. Negotiated with the neighbours for better access & steered clear of upsetting other neighbours with an angry dog! Efficient, tidy & a great result at a fair price. And all on a Saturday!

I've been very happy with the work done by Tom Boswell, too. He is efficient, tidy and a nice chap, too! Done at least three tree felling / pruning jobs.

Obviously you have to be called Tom to be an Acton tree-surgeon.Just to clarify - it was Tom Wootton I was recommending and who is also my next door neighbour.

Are all tree surgeons called Tom?  The one who did work for the school is Tom Boswell on 0773 9746502.  Maybe they can have a duel wielding their chainsaws for the honour of giveing our school garden trees a bit of a free haircut?  We have some tree work that is just too big for us parents to do!

Just wanted to say I used Tom Wootton to tame my 25 meter high tree. He and his team did an excellent job. Very tidy, helped move my pots and a small tree which they also replanted. Really helpful and pleasant to deal with. And all at a very competitive price.

He's about to travel to New Malden (home to my Mum, many of the world's South Koreans and a corpse in a lock-up garage) to tame her trees. She's very impressed so far.

Just to say Tom-next-door has just done the autumn tidy-up on my garden which is looking neat and terrified.He took on the killer Buddleia and seems to have tamed it.Just in case anyone is feeling bushy and overgrown!
