The weather has improved, and there was a up to a dozen drinkers on the Mount yesterday morning, including a number sitting on the church steps, and even one lying face down passed out on "lenin's tomb". I didn't see any police.There's a notice in Morrisons about the store applying to the council to extend the hours they sell alcohol to 6am-midnight. It's on the door of one of the lifts at the far end inside the store. As much as I love this shop, I dont think extending the hours for selling alcohol is a wise move. The notice suggests the date for the public to object / contact the council about this has expired.
