Where to find affordable organic Fruit & Veg in acton

Does anyone know of a good place to get preferably cheap organic produce here? Maybe a co-op? I am willing to buy in bulk at a wholesale as well.Please let me know your suggestions! Thank you!

You could try taking a look in the health food shop on Market Street, or asking the chap who runs the shop. I don't think it sells fruit and veg but probably sells other things organic, and the chap is friendly and would  likely be happy to order up stuff for regular or new customers. (Every time I bought my favourite tea, not easily available elsewhere, he would mark it on his re-order list.)There is/was a farm shop in Ealing that also delivers fruit and veg, probably organic, but might be expensive. Called something like W5 Farm Foods.Or try posting the same enquiry on the ChiswickW4 site, and see what suggestions you get there.I dont know if any of the stall holders on Acton market do organic, I suspect not.

Yes, Farm W5 on Ealing High Street (just outside the Ealing Broadway Centre).  Able & Cole (not particulary affordable) deliver to Acton on Tuesdays.  Order online at http://www.abelandcole.co.uk/

If you fancy venturing towards Hanwell there is a new social enterprise food box scheme, "Edible Ealing" Launched last month by local volunteers, it provides fortnightly boxes of local organic and seasonal produce containing fruit,vegetables and salad stuff from Cultivate London.Boxes will be ready for collection on Fridays in the W7 Emporium and other local goodies can be added to your box from deli items to produce from Abundance Ealing and cakes from Celestial Cakes. Tim at La Viande also has some fruit and veg as wll as eggs and the best sausages anywhere - lovely onions and some lemons. But not a huge range.

I have tried quite a few places and I think Riverford Organic is the best by far. It's very reasonable if you choose the seasonal veg box as you don't know exactly what you'll get. The box includes a recipe card with suggestions for most things in the box which is extremely helpful. I've found them to be cheaper than the supermarkets and much cheaper than As Nature Intended, Whole Foods etc. They deliver to Acton on Tuesdays.
