street  cleaned 2 hrs  b4 rubbish collected

morning  all our street  was  cleaned  at  7 am  this  morning  rubbish  collected  at  9 am  the  street  looks   terrible  spoke  to  the  road  sweeper  this  is  what  he  says  ,HE was told  to  sweep  at  7 am  on  his  own  their  USED  to  be  3 of  them  NOW    just 1 he  says  their  is  no  way  he   can  do  a deep  clean  his  time  is  limited  he  feels   he  is letting    us  down  and  people are  very cross  with  him  but  the  new  system  he  said  is  just  not  working at  all and  all  workers  are  very  fed up .they  streets  are  meon rd, newton ave, brouncker rd, bollo bridge  rd.

We had the same thing last week: cleaner in at 0645, rubbish and recycling collected later leaving trails of crap everywhere.I reported it as a streetwatcher but am uncertain it produced any action - though to be fair it doesn't look bad now so maybe they sent round a clean-up team.Seems a waste of money to me

When this happened in our ropad I reported to Streetwatchers, a man then came around with a litterpick!The road needs a real good sweep with a BROOM!

Same thing happens in Goldsmith Avenue, Sweeper comes on a Wednesday and the refuse crews (if you are lucky) come on a Thursday?

Originally Enterprise sent out teams of three to sweep shovel and pick, but this caused delays in the cleaning schedules so it was changed to just picking. With a sweep once a month as it used to be done. Those streets that used to be picked on Wednesdays and Fridays are now being picked on Mondays and Thursdays. I think if you see someone on the wrong day, it is the sweeping operation and that still needs sorting out.Not perfect yet, but getting there.

When I got home from work last night Brouncker Road was looking clean and tidy.  I also noticed people digging out weeds from Avenue Road recently.  From my perspective, after a shaky start it's all looking quite good now.

they sent  out 2 road sweepers  in  the  afternoon to  clean  the  streets if  only  they  get  them to  come  after  the  rubbish  lorrys  simples

They not only swept our street yesterday but sent down one of those sweeper lorries - first I've seen for years! Not that it could do much with the parked cars blocking the edges of rhe road...

Jon,This has been going on all over the borough.  In May, according to official council numbers collected by its own street monitoring team, 47% of all streets inspected were unacceptably dirty.  In May the previous year the number was only 7%.  We are paying for street cleaning but it isn't being done properly and is largely wasted if it happens before the bin men have thrown their rubbish around the way they usually do.

well AGAIN  this  week the  road sweeper was at  the street a  7am  here  go again after  the  council said that  they would sort it

Ours came earlier on the same morning last week - hopeless. So I reported it to streetwatchers - and there were two guys litterpicking yesterday. Dunno if the two things related

No SaraThe litter pickers are a Monday event in some streets that used to be wednesdays.

All looked clean to me on Brouncker Rd when I got home this evening...perhaps there was a post-collection sweep as well?
