Repair of small electrical appliances

We have an old Morphy Richards sandwich maker/grill that has failed after long and faithful service. There used to be a couple of shops on Churchfield Road that did repairs but these have now long gone. I have been round all the little electrical repair shops in the area that I got off the internet but found that they were all closed or gone away.Does anyone know where I can get small electrical appliances repaired? I think that it will be as expensive to repair the Morphy Richards as buying a new one, but after such faithful service I would like to give it one more chance!Thanks

I know it's getting harder and harder to get anything fixed.No idea if they can help you but Fuselodge in Acton Lane W4 have fixed hair straightners and music systems for me. They might be worth an ask. Not W3 but not too far away.Good luck.

It is harder and harder to get spares. I have repaired one before that just needed a thermostat, and at that time I was able to get a spare, but some of the black phenolic resin "plastic" was starting to fail, no spares available. It really is cheaper to buy new most of the time, although then the quality is often poor.

I have spent most of my life repairing things especially sewing machines (even computerized ones) I would be happy to give your griller a go just for fun. Dave

Thanks to all who replied. I went to Fuselodge and spoke with Nirmal who was extremely helpful. Even though it was not something that they would ordinarily repair, he offered to have a look and see what he could do.  A couple of hours later I got a call from him to say that he had possibly found and rectified the fault.The sandwich maker/grill is now back home being thoroughly tested! Nirmal wants us to test it and then when we are all happy that it is repaired, then we can pay him.I highly recommend Fuselodge to others. Nirmal was helpful, has a great sense of humour and will get my custom from now on.
