National Grid

I'm still not entirely sure what they're doing on Cumberland Road. A lot of the road has been dug up, and they've been in and out of the flat all day, saying they're going to move the gas meter but not really explaining what's going on - they've asked me to stay in which is a bit annoying on my first day off in fourteen - got a feeling it will spill over into tomorrow as well.Any ideas? Asking them directly hasn't really made it any clearer.

They have done/are doing,  it would seem,  all the roads around here.  You should have had a letter ages ago explaining. We had our gas cut off one day and had to be here for them to reset the boiler when they turned the gas back on,  but we did not need a new meter like you.
