money doesn't buy respect

our new neigbours in friars place lane are so ignorant it is beyond belief!Not only are they playing loud music constatly during the day with doors open but now a dog barks all the time!!no consideration for those of us who have to work!! Maybe money buys them property but it doesn't buy them respect.It is no good complaining to the council as they see it all as a joke too!!

In my experience, if your grievance is genuine, the Council takes noise nuisances very seriously, however they can only act on, and with, facts/evidence.SO, you need to capture whatever you can on AV (audio visual) and/or enlist an independent witness/es to verify the noise, preferably on at least 2 or more occasions.I think you'll find then that the Council acts quite swiftly.Of course, if the loud music and dog barking is during the day, it might be trickier regarding enforcing noise nuisance rules & regulations.

btw my grievance is definitely genuine I can't do my work when I need to. I wouldn't complain otherwise.The council doesn't care in previous experience unless you are the ones making the noise!

The Council property in question will have someone who 'manages' it.  That could be a Council employed person or by the tenants themselves.If you have a problem with the tenants, then this person/this group should be your first port of call for any complaints concerning the management of the buildings, and that can include maintenance/refuse collection, etc.

One essential is for a diary to be kept of all noise incidents.Keep contacting the Council keeping notes. If no joy write to Chief Exec. Things will happen.

Lesley,As Rosco points out the Council’s noise service works pretty well.  As a councillor myself I find they are good at dealing with noisy neighbours.  They need evidence though as Rosco says.  If the noise service does respond well ask your councillors to help.  You are in East Acton and have three councillors.  Start here:http://www.ealing.gov.uk/councillors/57/atallah_said

they are homeowners making the noise , ones with money who can afford a house worth 600,000 but hav eno respect and as a homeowner myself it is not right!

thank you George only I haven't got time to keep a diary as I work full time and have enough to do, without added nuisance of neighbours being inconsiderate, I will tel them what I think when I see them.
