Garden Waste Collection

Having subscribed to the Councils new service the bags were left out for collection on Weds Guess what - no collection! Called Thurs to chase up & assured of collection Thurs by a less than inspiring caller centre operative.Guess what - no collection!Called twice today & again guess what- no collection!Maybe if I deposit the waste on the steps of Percival House or the doorstep of one of our less than dynamic councillors they might finally be cleared.We'll see.

Is it true that this new contract is for 15 years? Woefully inadequate so far. There MUST be a review point, and get out clause somewhere in the contract.... ? Or at least a point in time when BIG PENALTIES kick in for the supplier to pay? I thought it was three months into the contract? Sorry if I'm asking same questions already asked before. Councillors and council people responsible can't hope to get away with this. Else the supplier needs to bow out with as much grace they can muster. I bet the key people are all on holiday!

We too have suffered a similar fate regarding the new garden waste collection service, however it appears that after several complaints by telephone, email, directly to our local councillor and a formal written complaint via the complaints service, they still managed to miss us again, even though the written complaint was followed up with a visit from one of the contractor managers assuring us it wouldn't happen again.  Fantastic servive (NOT) we are now paying extra for.  What a joke!

Garden waste collection has worked fine for me since it was introduced.

My waste is still not collected Have called the Council yet again but guess what - the caller centre is not allowed to give out any direct numbers for Enterprise.I suspect the contractors might be inundated if they did!

I would not be surprised to learn that the increased number of bonfires is a consequence of the new garden waste scheme recently introduced!Now it would seem that even those residents who signed up for the 'service' are also being let down by Enterprise.Perhaps Enterprise should change their name to 'Hit & Miss' this might be more appropriate!

Well people had gardens before the garden waste collection started and many of them only took it up when it became not only free as part of Council Tax but the bags needed to use it became more accessible.(I don't think behaviour change featured a lot on the consultants' assessment.  "What we'll do is we'll get people to pay...and that will make £...")

Waste finally cleared last night @ 1740 after a call from a Rachel Keys from Ealing Waste Strategy (Do they have one?!?) Very apologetic but refused to discuss Enterprise or the reasons why none of my calls were responded to.Heigh ho until the next time.

Having the same problem, chasing and chasing only for nothing to be done.  My garden waste hasn't been collected for 4 weeks.
